Barbara McAlister, 85, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday October 22, 2023, at her home.
Born on February 14, 1938, she was the spouse of the late Allen McAlister and was the daughter of the late Judge Leland Pruitt and Willie Mae Pruitt, she was a cosmetologist for over 50 plus years, and a lifelong member of Oakwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters: Kathy Busha (Bill) and Tammy Palmer; son: Billy McAlister (Diann); and sister: Carolyn Simpson; and very special brother Ray Pruitt and sister-in-law Shirley; grandchildren: Heather Pettigrew (Travis), Kylee Capell (Jon), Matt Busha (Lindsay), Kristie Hawkins (Shannon), Drew Palmer (Crystal), Alex Palmer; 16 great-grandchildren; and special caregiver: Kim Baker.
In addition to her spouse and parents, she is predeceased by her 7 sisters and 2 brothers.
A memorial service will be held at Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel on Thursday October 26, 2023, at 12pm officiated by Pastor Richard Busha.
