Betty Jean Allen Freeman, 83, of Starr, SC, passed away after a long illness on Monday May 13, 2024, at the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.
Born on February 20, 1941, in Valdosta, Ga, she was the daughter of the late Burgess T. and Rose Gaines Allen and wife to James W. Freeman Sr. Betty was a graduate of Crescent High School, was retired from White Jones Hardware and was of the Jehovah Witness Faith.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her Sons: Gregory W. Freeman and James W. Freeman Jr; and Grandchildren: Brianna Freeman Huggins and Tristan K. Freeman.
Betty is also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 11am on Friday May 17, 2024, at South Lawn Memorial Gardens and will be officiated by Elder Stanley Brooks.
The family will be at the home of Betty’s Son, Gregory.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
