Carolyn Dianne McConnell, 73, a resident of Greenwood, SC, passed away peacefully at The Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood, SC.
Born in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Joe Tomas McConnell and Carolyn Hall McConnell.
She is survived by her Son: Andy Smith of Watford City, ND; Two Daughters: Melody Coursey (Stuart) of Abbeville, SC, and Krista Woolard of Greenwood, SC; Daughter-in-Law; Theresa Mabry of Abbeville, SC; four Grandchildren: Jacob Coursey (Yanina) of Panama City, FL, Zane Coursey of Abbeville, SC, Kristopher Butler (Reese) and Savanna Butler of Greenwood, SC; five Great-grandchildren: Ember Moon, Moriah, Ansleigh, Banks, and Azelyn; one Brother: Tommy McConnell (Sandra) of Seneca, SC; Two Sisters: Annette Lambert (David) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Sheila McConnell of Lexington, SC; as well as four nieces and one nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Dupree McConnell; Nephew: Zach McConnell; and Grandson: Jedediah “Jed” Smith.
A private ceremony will be held with immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood, SC.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
