Charles “Ray” Todd, 69, of Abbeville SC, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at his residence.
Born on April 28, 1954, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late William Henry Todd and Susie Jane Woodruff Todd. He was a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps. Ray without question loved his family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his children: Timothy Todd (Lauren) and April Glenn (Bradley); brother: David Todd; grandchildren: Matthew, Carrie (Warren), Adreanna (Billy), Jaelyn, Landon, Brayden; great-grandchildren: Scarlette, Waylon, Walker and Juliette, as well as his best friend: Thomas Burdette.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by an infant daughter: Angel Todd; brothers: Henry, Mack, and Jerry Todd; sister: Martha Morgan.
A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Gethsemane Baptist Temple with Pastor Sam Duncan officiating. The burial will take place at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 2pm to 3pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2023.
The family will be at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Lauren Todd.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
