Christopher Martin August 2, 1989 - December 9, 2024

It is with deep sorrow and much love that our family announce the passing of Chris Martin, 35, of Iva, South Carolina, on Monday, December 9, 2024.

Born on August 2, 1989, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Johnny Ledford and the late Lynn Martin.  Chris was a hard worker and a loving father.  He enjoyed working in the HVAC industry, and was proud of his self-taught knowledge and skills.

Chris will be remembered for his big smile, playful personality, desire to do better, and love of family. He was a good friend to many, and found peace in his newly developing spiritual journey.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his Stepmother: April Scoggins; Partner: Haleigh Grogan; Children: Ethan, Nathan, Gabby, and Kali Martin, and bonus son, Xander Hickman; Siblings: Timmy Martin, Penny Martin, Cody Ledford, Christopher Wicker, Joshua Sheridan, Blake Ledford, Jessie Summerall, and Shawn Durham. Chris is also survived by many special Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lynn, as well as his grandparents: Shirley (Nanny) and Rayford Ledford.

Private services will be held at a later date.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
