Doris B. Sammons, 96, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday January 26, 2024.
Born on May 10, 1927, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Browning and Tillie Marlow and wife of the late Ray Sammons.
She is survived by her Daughter: Jeannie Lloyd (Art); Grandchildren: Sommer Bowen, Sheila Watson, Stephanie Phillips, Laura Sammons; Great-Grandchildren: Caitlyn Hall, Payten Phillips, Chase Phillips, and Savannah Watson; Great-Great Grandchildren: Alexis Hunter, Cameron Hunter, Mekayliah Bowen, Justyn Gaines, Jagger Hall, and Conner Hall; and Great-Great-Great Grandchild: Raelynn Thomas.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her Children: Mackie Sammons and Diane Pruitt; and her Sister: Lois Browning.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30pm on Sunday January 28, 2024, at the Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel and will be officiated by Pastor Mark Daniel. The family will receive friends from 2:30pm to 3:30, prior to the service Sunday at the mortuary.
A graveside committal service will be held at 11:30am on Monday January 29, 2024, at New Silverbrook Cemetery.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
