Dorothy F. Dunn Carter, 85, of Iva SC, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at her residence.
Born in Gastonia, NC on March 8, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Dunn and Olive Naggle and the wife to the late James Carter. Dorothy in priorities of her loves was God and her family.
She is survived by her children: Tony Carter (Barbara), Tim Carter (Wallean), Lorraine Nichols (Marvin) and Andy Carter; sister: Burdie Feltman; 34 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her children: Patricia Gleaton, Debbie Burns, Jack Carter and William Carter; siblings: Mack Williams, Eugene Dunn, GV Williams, Ida Bell Mosley, William Dunn, Callie Jewell, Katie Prope and Jule Owens; 1 grandchild and 2 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Antreville Church of God Cemetery on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 11am with Rev. Donnie Murdock officiating.
Visitation will follow the service.
The family will be at the home of daughter Lorraine Nichols.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
