Dorothy Pat Drake, 87, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at her home.
Born on January 1, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Worley and Rose Brown. Pat was a devoted wife who loved sharing her love story, a loving Mama and Memaw, and a faithful servant of the Lord. One of her proudest accomplishments was celebrating 40 years in recovery through AA, a journey that became a source of hope and inspiration to others seeking recovery. Through sharing her story, offering encouragement, and walking alongside others, she touched countless lives. Above all, she lived her faith through the way she loved, served, and cared for others, reflecting Christ’s love in both her words and actions. Her legacy is one of love, faith, perseverance, and service.
She is survived by her son: David Drake; daughters: Denise Pace (Jon) and Donna Drake (Dena); brother: Lamar Minyard (Angela); grandchildren: Amanda Hanley (BJ), Ashley Keen (Larry), and John Drake (Anna); great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn & Dylan Hanley, Kyleigh Keen, Arizona & Emerson Drake.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband: Bob Drake; brother: Gary Brown and her sisters: Mary Minyard, Hazel Embler and Peggy Morris.
A funeral service will be held at 7pm on Monday, November 2, 2026, at Gethsemane Baptist Temple with Pastor Sam Duncan officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 6pm to 7pm.
The family will be at the home of her daughter: Denise Pace.
The family also extends heartfelt gratitude to Agape Care Group and her beloved church family at Gethsemane Baptist Temple for their compassionate care, prayers, and unwavering support during this time.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
