Douglas C. Parker, 83, of Anderson, SC passed away on July 27, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in La France, SC, he was a member of Barnette Grove Holiness Church and a Veteran of US Air Force.
He is survived by his wife of over 56 years Joan Parker; sons: Douglas Keith Parker (Peggy), Stevie Lamar Parker (Brenda); grandchildren: David, Michael, Ashley, April, Elizabeth; great-grandchildren: Cole, Lauren, Emmory, Haley, MaKaylenn, Maddison, Brantly, and Grayson.
He is preceded in death by a son Anthony Douglas Parker and brothers: AC, JD, and Edgar Parker.
Services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 1230pm at Barnette Grove Holiness Church officiated by Rev. Dale Duckett. Burial will follow with Military Honors at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
The family will be at the home and will receive friends prior to the service at the church on Friday from 11am to 1230pm.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, Downtown Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
