Elsie Lee Brooks Cross, 88, of Anderson, died peacefully at her home on January 9, 2016.
She was the daughter of the late Gilbert Brooks and Zula Mae Taylor Brooks.
She is survived by sons: Calvin Lee “Doc” Cross (Pat), Donnie Leroy Cross and John W. Cross Sr. (Sharon); grandchildren: Jeffery Cross (Cristina), David Cross (Kristal), Phillip Cross (Michelle), John Walter Cross Jr. (Sonya), Steven Cross (Angel) and Jessica Sullivan (Billy); nineteen great-grandchildren and 2 great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Prue Brooks and Archie Brooks; sisters: Ollie Little and Lucille Lumpkin; and a daughter-in-law: Linda Cross.
Funeral services will be held at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 2pm with Rev. John Cross, Rev. Dale Cross and Rev. Butch Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm at the Mortuary.
The family will be at their respective homes.
