Mattie Lou Chapman Smith, 86, of Anderson SC passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born on April 9, 1929, in Oconee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Emanuel and Tilda Malissa Fields Chapman, and the spouse to the late Ossie Smith. She was retired from Singer in Anderson, SC.
She is survived by her sons: Jerry and Terry Smith, grandchildren: Christy Maes, Jennifer Brucke, Amanda Dye, Roland Seagraves, Kayleigh Smith and Jayden Smith, great-grandchildren: Bradley Miller, Neil Maes, Jenna Maes, Erin Maes, and Molina Seagraves, great-great grandchild: Mylah Phillips, Hunter Brucke and a longtime companion: Rod Connally.
Funeral services will be held at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 2pm with Rev. Roland Molina officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will take place prior to the service at the Mortuary from 12:30pm to 2pm.
The family will be at their respective homes.
