Born on October 7, 1953 he was the son of the late John and Eula Mae Boswell Morris. He worked for many years and retired from Bayer, he was a member of the VFW Post# 10330 and Moose Lodge #749 both of Piedmont. He was known for his beautiful singing voice. Ernie was honorably discharged from the US Army.
He is survived by his love: Margaret Rampey, her son: Boomer Rampey (Michelle) and her grandchildren: Paxton and Brooklyn; his daughter: Michelle Trinceri (Lawrence Jr), of Hampton, NH; brother: George Morris of Easley, SC; his grandchildren who were the light of his life: Lance and Isabella Trinceri; as well as many nieces and nephews and countless friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters: Maxine Brown, Constance Case, and Faye Medlock.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Levada, George, and Boomer who helped care for Ernie in his final days, and to Interim Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel and will be officiated by Pastor Wilton Fowler. Burial will follow at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends from 6pm – 8pm on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the South Chapel.
