Evelyn ‘Nanny’ McGill Hill, 77, of Donalds, SC, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Nanny had a deep love for her family, especially the grand and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her determination to get things done. She was married to the late, James Neel Hill.
She is survived by her children: James Neel Hill, Jr. (Sheri), Katherine Searcy (Brandon); and Pingaling Hill; sister, Doris L. McGill; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by her parents: William Clayton and Katherine Bratcher McGill; children: Lisa Hill Sosebee and William R. Hill; siblings: William C., Mary K., and Peggy S. McGill; and a grandson, Twenty Banks.
Services will be held at Winona Baptist Church, (Abbeville County, SC) on Monday, December 5, 2022, at 2:30pm officiated by Pastor Wesley Taylor. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends prior to the service on Monday at the church from 1:30pm – 2:30pm.
Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, South Chapel, is assisting the family.
