Florence Wicker Beatty, 90, of 458 Ellen Street, Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at her residence.
Born on May 20, 1936, in Anderson County, SC; she was the daughter of the late Ross and Jeannie Dyar Wicker. She was married to the late Luther Howard Beatty for 48 years. Florence was a lifelong member of Double Springs Baptist Church. She retired from Singer, Ryobi with that being the only employment she had. Florence memorialized her Christian love by adopting her sons, Charles and Terry. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons: Terry Harris (Clara) and Charles Harris (Cindy); sisters: Francis Conyers and Linda Craft; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and her best friend and sister at heart, Carlie Wicker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her siblings: Jimmy Wicker, William Wicker, and LuEllen Dean.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 2pm at Double Springs Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Tony Smith. A private burial will follow.
The family will be at the residence and will receive friends prior to the service at the church on Thursday from 1pm to 2pm.
