Joan G. Crawford, 82, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at her home.
Born in Oconee County, SC on March 30, 1944, she was the daughter of the late General Lee and Mary Paulina Cole Guy and was married to the late James Henry Crawford, Jr. Joan was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church and for over 30 years she was a nurse manager of the Oncology floor at AnMed Health.
She is survived by sons: James Henry Crawford, III and Joshua Lee Crawford; daughter in law, Heather Crawford; sister, Martha Alice Vernon; brother-in-law, Mance Vernon; sister-in-law, Jan Guy; grandchildren: Lumina Oly Crawford and Bee Anne Varner; and niece, Audrey Guy.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also predeceased by a brother, Larry Guy and her grandparents: Jesse and Oly Cole.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 2pm in the chapel of Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory.
