Frances C. Shead 87, of Anderson SC passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at her residence.
Born in Walhalla, SC; she was the daughter of the late John and Lou Holcombe Chambers, the spouse to the late Willis E. Shead, worked in textiles and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons: Larry, Ronnie and Tommy Shead, daughters: Brenda Moore, and Jennie Meeks, sisters: Edith Mashburn and Mary Ann Risner, 22 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and spouse she is predeceased by a brother: Glen Chambers, sisters: Annie Mae Todd and Martha McGaha.
Funeral services will be held at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 2:30pm with Pastor Doyle Barker and Pastor Greg Hamman officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Timmy and Greg Simpson, Jeff and John Shead, Bradley Cheek and Ray Lunsford.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at the Mortuary.
The family will be at the residence.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
