Frances Marie Speer June 12, 1943 - March 10, 2026

Frances Marie Speer, 82, of Anderson SC, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at NHC Healthcare Anderson.

Born in Walhalla, SC on June 12, 1943; she was the daughter of the late James Fred Rogers and Lillie Mae Hall Rogers and married to the late Coy Gene Speer. Frances was known for her fun-loving spirit and her warmth, sensitivity, and caring nature. Above all, she was deeply devoted to her faith in God, as a member of West Anderson Church of God and was never hesitant to share that faith with anyone, even strangers. She was always the person people turned to for prayer, remaining faithful not only to her beliefs but also to her family and friends.

She is survived by her children: Mike Speer, Randall Speer, Ronnie Speer and Cynthia Speer Freeman; grandchildren: Jesse Speer, Jarod Speer, Tiffany Meredith, and Madison Speer; great grandchildren: Madeline Speer, Ashton Elrod, Kayden Speer, Braylin Elrod, Kylee Speer and Connor Speer.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her son: Christopher Speer.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Sosebee Mortuary with Pastor Robby Meredith officiating. A private graveside will be held.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 1pm to 2pm at the Mortuary.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
