Frankie N. Parnell, 82, of Anderson SC, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024.
Born in Anderson, SC, on January 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Winifred Nelson. Frankie was a Public School Teacher and the wife of 61 years to the late Rev. Jerry L. Parnell.
She is survived by her daughters: Jeri P. McGuffin (Tim) and Chris Ann Shorter (Doug); brother: Don Nelson; sisters: Sandra Shiflet and Sylvia Langston; grandchildren: Drew McGuffin, Hope Brazil, Jonathan Wilkinson, Chase Wilkinson, Caleb Wilkinson, Kristen Cobb, Ben Wilkinson, Karis Stewart, and Karoline Stewart; great-grandchildren: Rose McGuffin, Grayson Brazil, Audrey Brazil, Lily Wilkinson. Bolton Wilkinson, Eliana Wilkinson, Ayla Wilkinson, Rowan Wilkinson, Reagan Wilkinson, Lincoln Cobb, Liam Cobb, and Lexington Cobb.
In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her daughter: Erin Stewart.
A funeral service will be held at Canaan Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 4pm with Pastor David Forro officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 2:30 to 4pm at the church.
The family will be at their respective homes.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
