Gary Romaine Padgett August 15, 1942 - July 17, 2024

Gary Romaine Padgett, 81, of La France, SC, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2024.

Born in Pickens, SC on August 15, 1942, he was the son of the late James Oliver Padgett and Mary Jane Padgett, and was the husband to Wanda Faye Padgett. Gary was a handy man and supervisor in the textile industry. He enjoyed camping and sitting on his front porch bird watching.

He is survived by his daughter: Karen Padgett of Anderson, SC; brother: Roger Padgett of La France, SC; and grandchildren: Hunter of the home, Page, Miranda, and Dominick; and great grandchildren: Katherine and Karissa.

In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by a grandson, Jessie Padgett.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday August 3, 2024, at Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel. A private burial will follow.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11am to 12:30pm on Saturday August 3, 2024, at the mortuary.

The family will be at their respective homes.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
