Gene Blaylock May 29, 1941 - September 26, 2022

Gene Blaylock, 81, of Royston, GA, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022.

Born in Bristol, VA, on May 29, 1941; he was the son of the late Jim and Alma Blaylock.  Gene was retired from Caterpillar and Pop’s Top Shop and was a Veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Ann Blaylock; his children:  Allen Blaylock (Joy), Robin Craft, and Barbara Smith; sister:  Peggy Paxton (Wayne), Judy Mace, and Wanda Blaylock; grandchildren:  LeAnna Walker (Broudus), Katie Blaylock, Zach Blaylock, and Chandler Smith; and great-grandchildren:  Katlyn Howell, Taylor Howell, and Brayden Walker.

Services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 1pm at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel, and will be officiated Pastor Tom Pritchett.  Burial will follow at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. The family will have a visitation prior to the service at the Mortuary from 12pm to 1pm Friday.

The family will be at the home of the daughter, Barbara Smith.

Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, South Chapel, is assisting the family.
