Gwendolyn Anne Bittle, 61, of York SC passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Born in Anderson SC on September 17, 1960, she was the daughter of Ernest Lanier and the late Peggy Anne Lanier. She is the spouse to William Bittle and a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Filbert, SC.
In addition to her father and husband, she is survived by her daughter: Amanda Anne Wilkes; son: Phillip Bryan Gleason; brother: Steven Ernest Lanier; sister: Cindi Deanne Funchess, and 9 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the home of her brother, Steven Lanier, 21 Ione Circle, Williamston, SC from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday August 18, 2022.
Graveside Services will be held at New Silverbrook Cemetery, 440 East Shockley Ferry Road Anderson SC, on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to her newly adopted charity of Bethel Baptist Church Christian Academy, P.O. Box 1250 Clover, SC 29710.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel are assisting the family with arrangements.
