Helen Christine Alexander Cantrell Hawkins Horne, 86, of Anderson, SC, went home to be with the Lord at the Rainey Hospice of the Upstate on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.

Born on February 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Odis Alexander and Lily Mae Cantrell Alexander Emory. Helen worked at Orr Mill and retired from Anderson Textiles. She was also a member of The Brook Church.

Helen is survived by her Children: Jack Cantrell (Kathy), Ben Cantrell, Dennis Cantrell, and Linda Cantrell Alexander (Ralph); Sister: Easter Alexander Jacobs; Brother: O’Dell Alexander; Grandchildren: Kela Simpson (Chad), Adam Cantrell (Amanda), Joshua Alexander (Malory), Isaac Alexander (Jennifer), Christina Alexander Simmons (Grayson), Zeke Cantrell, and Hailey Cantrell; and Great-Grandchildren: Kadence Simpson, Kamdyn Simpson, Sylas Cantrell, Maddox Cantrell, Noah Alexander, Lucas Alexander, Ellie Alexander, Mila Alexander, Wade Trent, Arlo Simmons and Raegan Cantrell.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her Husbands: Jack Cantrell, Kent Hawkins, and Billy Horne; Brothers: Jack, James, and Charles Alexander; Sister: Marie Alexander Greene; and Grandchildren: Katassa Cantrell and Benji Cantrell.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Saturday August 27, 2022, at the Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel and will be officiated by Rev. Richard Busha and Rev. Rick Hilton. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:30am to 1pm, Saturday, prior to the service at the Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to The Brook Church, 3215 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Anderson, SC 29621.

The family will be at their respective homes.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
