Helen Sabra Bare, 94, of Anderson SC, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at National Health Care of Anderson.
Born on October 3, 1931, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Sadie Wilcox. She was the wife of the late Vestal Bare.
Helen built a long career as a seamstress, retiring after many years of work at Ora Lyons Textiles. She later worked at Rock Hill Printing and Finishing, where she met Vestal Bare; the two were married in 1980. Her faith remained central throughout her life, and she attended Freedom Center and Homeland Park Church of God. She often expressed her love for her family with the words, “I love you all, and want to see you all in Heaven.”
She is survived by her children: Henry Lovely of Tacoma, Washington and Morry Lovely of Tennessee; sister: Geneva Basi of Lampasas, Texas; 9 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brothers: Joe Dan Wilcox, Jack Wilcox, Clarence Wilcox, John Wilcox and Earl Wilcox; sisters: Nellie Miracle, Doris Williams, Irene Fling and Mearle Reynolds.
A funeral service will be held at Sosebee Mortuary on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 2pm with Pastor Phil Sears officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the Mortuary on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 1pm to 2pm.
The family will be at their respective homes.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
