Hubert Owen Shiflet, 85, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born on November 21, 1928 in Georgia, he was the son of the late Frank and Bertie Shiflet and husband to Ouida Mae Shiflet. He was also a 20 year retiree of the US Air Force.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons; Tim Shiflet and his wife Tammy and Steve Shiflet and his wife Renee. He is also survived by his sister-in-law; Beatrice Shiflet, as well as six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3p.m. on Wednesday October 29, 2014 at the Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel and will be officiated by Rev. Early Tucker and Rev. Dwight Greene. Internment will follow at South Lawn Memorial Gardens where he will receive full military honors. Mr. Shiflet will be open for viewing from 2p.m. to 3p.m. prior to the service Wednesday.
The family will be at the home.
