James Randolph “Randy” Wilson, 74, of Anderson, SC, passed peacefully at his residence after a lengthy battle with cancer on Saturday, May 31, 2014.
Randy was a Deacon of Mountain Creek Baptist Church and a dedicated choir member.
He is survived by his wife: Laurie Wilson; Daughter: Laranda W. Maroney (Larry); Brother: Jerry Travis Wilson (Mae); and Grandson: Martin Adam Wilson.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Travis M. and Ruth Wilson; and his son: Timothy R. Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. on Monday June 2, 2014 at Mountain Creek Baptist Church and will be officiated by Rev. Billy Whitfield. Internment will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 1p.m. to 2p.m. Monday prior to the service.
The family will be at their respective homes.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
