Joan Anne Quinn Scarborough, 77, of Pelzer, SC, passed away on Saturday September 23, 2023, at the Rainey Hospice House.

Born on August 12, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late James Quinn and Elizabeth Hedden.

Joan is survived by her Children: Melissa Hofmeister (J.C.), Johnny Scarborough Jr, and Jillian Scarborough; Grandchildren: Brandon, Britni, Quinn, Hogan, Zayne, Alaina, Kali, Jay, Druw, Olivia, Paul, Lilly, and Nathan; 17 Great-grandchildren; her niece and nephew: Bonnie Olinski, Joey Taylor, as well as many others: her Bonus Daughter: Lisa Phillips; and Bruno, her precious Baby.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two Children: Kathy Ann Lewis Amos and Lee Lewis; Siblings: Frances Caruso, Herbert Clark, and Kathleen Taylor; and her Nephew: Chris Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Monday September 25, 2023, at the Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel and will be officiated by Rev. Sam Duncan. Receiving of friends and family will be held prior to the service Monday, from 1:30pm to 3pm.

The family will be at Joan’s home.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.

    I’m so sorry for your loss!!! Joan was one of a kind and I know she will be missed by many! She was always so fun and made me laugh every time I talked to or saw her. I hate that I am missing her service but wanted y’all to know that I am praying for all of you!

    I have known Joan for years, we go back to the Dixie Garden Skating Rink days. So glad we found each other on FB and kept in touch the last few years. Her laughter will be missed.
    I was unable to attend her service, but sending prayers for the family. May God Richler bless her family and friends with memories, comfort and peace.
