Joan Dixon Doker, 78, of Iva, SC, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
She was a lifetime member of Union Baptist Church and member of the Order of Eastern Star – John Francis Gray #219.
She was a very special lady that loved her family and friends very much. She will be truly missed by all that knew her including her children: Rick Doker (Dorothy Kirk) and Lynne Pettus (Cliff); grandson Donovan Kay (Tonia); and great-grandson James Kay.
She is preceded in death by her husband James W. Doker, and parents: Eathel and Delma Sutherland Dixon.
Services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 3pm at Union Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Mike McMillion and Rev. Danny Burnley. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends prior to the service on Monday at the church from 2pm-3pm.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, South Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
