Karol Hennessey July 18, 1965 - July 27, 2024

Karol Hennessey passed away in her home on July 27th, 2024, at the age of 59 after a 7-month battle with lung cancer.

She is survived by her husband: Chuck Hennessey; her sisters: Eileen Hefner and Marianne Rager, and her brother: Francis “Chip” Heyduk.

She is predeceased by her parents: Mary Ann Quigley and Francis J. Heyduk, as well as her beloved son: Brendon T. Heyduk.

Karol was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, but spent most of her youth in Turnersville, New Jersey.  She graduated from Washington Township High School in 1985 and married the love of her life, Chuck Hennessey, in 1999.  They lived several places to include New Jersey, Georgia, Florida and most recently South Carolina.

Karol had a large personality! She loved deeply and was loyal to those she loved.  She was a fierce defender of the underdog and would fight for justice for those that could not fight for themselves.  She was a volunteer with “Helping Parents Heal” and would counsel parents who had lost a child drawing on her own experiences.  She was the life of the party and a straight shooter.  She will be missed by so many!

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Karol’s memory.

The Sosbee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

    Chuck and family,

As you know I am very devastated by the loss of my best friend! Actually, she was more family than friend. You both are! I will cherish and honor her legacy and friendship until the day I take my last breath. She is no longer in pain and is having a very beautiful reunion with Brendon.
We are always here for you. Love Mare and Rob
