Kathleen Thomas November 22, 1919 - August 23, 2017

Kathleen Thomas, 97, of Iva, SC, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at her residence.
Born in Lowndesville, SC, on November 22, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John Bunyan Thomas Sr and Ruth Speed Thomas. She was a retired secretary with the SC Department of Education and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her nieces: Arden Garner (Sandy), Gwen Stowe (Tim), Kathy Glass (Dave-deceased), and Janet Parnell (Bill); nephews: Randy Thomas (Nancy), Wayne Thomas (Lindsey) and Mike Thomas (Lisa) and numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers: JB Thomas Jr, Walter Thomas, and Allen Thomas.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Sosebee Mortuary Iva Chapel at 11am with Rev. Bill Parnell officiating. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the Iva Chapel on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 10am to 11am.
The family will be at their respective homes.
