Sara Ladd Powell August 25, 2017

Sara L. Powell, 75, of Iva, SC, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Celeste Ladd, the spouse to Robert C “Tater” Powell for 37 years. Sara was a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church and Gethsemane Baptist Temple. She was a loving and caring lady that cared for her family and community.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Michael Powell (Bridget), and Kenneth Powell; brother, Mark Ladd; sisters: Sue Bratcher and Edda Jacobson; grandchildren: Alex Powell, Jacob Powell, Drew Powell, and Heidi McCall (Lee) and great-grandson, Gunner McCall.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a grandson, Aaron Michael Powell, sisters: Barbara Moore, Edna Jordan and Bernice Smith; and brothers: Truman Ladd and Earl Ladd.
Funeral services will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Temple on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 3pm with Pastor Sam Duncan and Pastor Scotty Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow at the Powell Family Cemetery, Lowndesville SC.
Visitation will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Temple on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 1pm to 3pm.
The family will be at the residence.
