Kenji Claude Kilgore, 49, of Abbeville, SC, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022.
Born in Greenwood, SC, on July 6, 1973, he was the son of the late Claude Dewitt Kilgore and Kazuko “Kay” Ebina Kilgore.
Kenji truly enjoyed being an iron worker for many years and was recently employed as a maintenance technician at Prysmian in Abbeville. He was of the Christian faith and on occasion attended Friendship Worship Center in Abbeville. Kenji was a good ole country boy, He was an avid hunter of all things in the local woods, enjoyed fishing and collecting arrowheads. He was known for making you laugh, having a generous giving spirit and being full of life.
Kenji is survived by his daughter: Jalyn Elektra Kilgore of Pendleton; two aunts: Jean Dunn (George) and Kathy Grant (Donnie) of Abbeville; stepbrother: Tony Brown of Anderson; brother-in-law: Jason Callaham of Abbeville and his former spouse, Chrissy Bryant (Chris) of Pendleton.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 1pm at the Friendship Worship Center in Abbeville, SC.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, Jalyn.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
