Kenneth M. Goforth, 80, of Anderson, SC, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
Born on October 14, 1945, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late M.C. “Mac” Goforth and Nettie Bass Goforth, and husband to Connie C. Goforth. Kenneth taught and retired from Palmetto Middle School, a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a former member of Middleton Road Baptist Church. He was also a Veteran of the US Navy, having served four years and finishing his service as a Communication Technician Second Class.
Kenneth will always be remembered by how he answered the question, “How are you doing?” He would answer, “Better than I deserve, I know Jesus.”
He is survived by his Wife: Connie C. Goforth; Children: Heath Goforth (K.C.), S. Cy Goforth (Farrah), and Kari Summers (Troy); Grandchildren: Dominic Green, who was raised in the home, C.J. Goforth, Hannah Goforth, Sully Goforth, Jedidiah Goforth, Miles Goforth, and Chloe Cross, as well as two great-granddaughters.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Sister: Faye Powell.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.

June 12, 2026 at 5:14 pmI’m so sorry to learn of Ken’s passing. We taught together for several years and shared lunches many days with the related arts group in my classroom. He was a good Christian man who lived what he believed. My condolences to the family whom he loved dearly.
