Larry Reece Hanks, 77, of Anderson SC, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at his home.
Born on September 2, 1942, he was the son of the late Alexander “Buck” Hanks and Merrie Barkley Breazle. He was the husband to Martha Tucker Hanks and a retired sign painter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Gary, Kenneth, Mark Sr., Russell and Jeff; daughter: Deborah Latham (Leonard); grandchildren: Michael Hood (Stacie), Mark Hanks Jr (Casey), Jaden, Ila Dawn Hanks (Dakoda); great-grandson: Derek; sister: Brenda King; many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister: Phyliss Evans and a brother: Donnie Hanks.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Gethsemane Baptist Temple at 12pm with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating. A private burial will be held.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 11am to 12pm.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
