Larry Wayne Walker, 67, of Abbeville, SC, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Self Regional Hospital.
Born in Stanaford, West Virginia, he was the spouse of Marilyn (Bobbi) Walker. Larry was a supervisor with Westinghouse, retired from Kaiser Machinery, a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church and Wheels of Time Car Club. He also attained the rank of Sargent while serving in Korea with the US Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons: Scott Hayes, Butch Hayes (Tobi), and Guy Leffler (Vera); daugters: Kim Lewis (Robert) and Dawn Krueger (Phil); sisters: Shelia Jo Gunnoe and Marilyn Mitchum; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a loving friend, Curly.
Services will take place Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 2 pm at Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, South Chapel and will be officiated by Reverend Mike Evans. Burial will follow at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1pm – 2pm at the South Chapel.
