Luther “Red” Davis Jr, 85, of Iva, SC, passed away on Friday July 28, 2023.
Born on May 1, 1938, in Townsend, Ga, he was the son of the late Luther Davis Sr and Ollie Cox Davis. Red was the owner and operator of Red Davis Plumbing for over 20 years, before handing the reigns to his grandson, John Davis, to carry on the business.
Red is survived by his Lifelong Companion; Christa Compton; Daughter: Peggy Rogers; Son: Terry Davis and Daughter-in-Law: Nanci Davis; Stepdaughter: Susan Baxley; Brother: Lee Davis; Sister: Dean Jones; as well as five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Tuesday August 1, 2023, at the Iva City Cemetery and will be officiated by Rev. Sam Duncan.
The family will be at their respective homes.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
