Lynda Jean Hammett, 82, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday September 26, 2023, at her home.
Born on August 31, 1941, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Elizabeth Burdette Singleton. Her work career included Bi-lo and Bosch. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful member of South Pointe Baptist Church.
Lynda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ted Hammett; Children: Jennifer Smith (Brian) and Kathy Combs (Rick); Grandchildren: Nicholas Gage Strickland, Austin Tyler Strickland, Brooke Smith, Jordan Smith, Lauren Smith, and Jaden Hammett.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her Brother: Jimmy Singleton.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm at South Pointe Baptist Church, 1319 Hwy 29 South, Anderson, SC, on Friday September 29, 2023, and will be officiated by Pastor Dave Neal. Internment will follow at South Lawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm, Friday, prior to the service at the Church.
The family will be at the home.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
