Mary Jo Loveland Brown, 66, of Anderson SC, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023.
Born in Logansport, IN, on July 22, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence M. and Margorie Bond Loveland. Mary was a former early childhood educator and a member of First Baptist Church in Laurens. She was the wife to the late Rodney D. Brown.
She is survived by her sons: Christopher D. Brown and James W. Brown; daughter: Amanda D. Owen; sisters: Martha Rector (Jim), Sandra Shockley, Kathy Freeman, Teresa Crane, Julia Collard and Johnna Loveland; 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her sister: Sherian L. Loveland.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

June 28, 2023 at 4:31 pmI knew Mary Jo and Rodney when they and my husband and I were stationed in Bayreuth, Germany. We lived in the same apartment building, and Mary Jo and I shared many laughs and adventures. She adored her family, and I’m sure she will be greatly missed. My condolences to all.
