Mattie Elizabeth Chadwick, 75, of Due West SC, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, at her residence.
Born on June 23, 1948, in Abbeville SC, she was the daughter of the late Brantley Junior and Helen Young McGill. Mattie loved the Lord and her family. She was a wonderful wife and mother who was always there when her family needed her. She had many friends and had compassion for them. She was also a well-loved member of her community.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years: Samuel Chadwick; children: Victoria Thompson (Mario), Joseph Douglas Chadwick, Daniel Sam Chadwick; sister: Judy Campbell; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a brother: Robert Junior McGill.
A graveside service will be held at Due West Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 2pm with Pastor Paul Cooper officiating.
The family will be at the residence.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
