Meldon Edward Reeves, 65, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the home of Gary and Sandra Watson.
Meldon was born on November 3, 1951, in Greenville, SC, and was a life-long Upstate resident. He was a gifted motorcycle mechanic for the family business, Suzuki of Greenville and Easley. He was also a loving caregiver for his parents in their final years. Meldon loved to laugh as he was a fun jokester. He had a great love for animals, Elvis, and Lake Keowee.
He is survived by two sisters: Sandra Watson and husband, Gary, and Eugenia Swilling and husband, Eric; niece, Tamie Briggs; nephews: Chris Barfield (Bersa), Makkie Watson (Tina), Jody Watson (Sherrie), Joshua Swilling (Molly), Gabe Swilling (Sara), and Zach Swilling; great nieces and nephews: Chelsea, LaRissa, Libby, Taylor, Bella, Mark, Chaz, Cody, and Tyler; great-great nephew and niece: Adam and Ava Marie; as well as many beloved cousins and friends. Meldon had a special place in his heart for Saronna Yates and four-legged friend, Bono.
He is predeceased by parents: Edward and Thelma Reeves; and sister, Darlene Reeves.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 20th, 2017 at 7pm at Hagood Park in Easley, SC. Eric Swilling and Gary Watson will officiate.
