Melvin Wall March 25, 1932 - April 24, 2023

Melvin Wall, 91, of Anderson SC, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born on March 25, 1932, in Anderson SC, he was the son of the late Nesbitt “Ned” Lafayette Wall and Eunie Etta Martin Wall. Melvin was a veteran of the US Army, had 35 years of service and 10 years of ownership with Reeves Aluminum Works, he loved fishing and woodworking. He was the husband of 65 years to the late Wilma Gentry Wall.

He is survived by his sons: Randy Wall and Ronnie Wall (Ronda); daughter: Melanie Gunnels (Steve); grandchildren: Chris Gunnels, Robbie Gunnels (Holly), Kristy McKellar (Bart), Summer Griffith (Henry), and Chase Wall (Jillian); great-grandchildren: Brookelyn Brady, Drew Gunnels (Braylin), Brayden Gunnels, Lucas Gunnels, Kinsley Long, Kaleigh Gleasure (Jordan), Mallory Griffith, Maddox Griffith, Kennedy McKellar, Austin Davenport, Logan Kirby and Caden Wall; great-great-grandchildren: Solomon Brady, Paisley Gleasure and Iris Gleasure.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by 3 sisters; his twin brother Melton “Buddy” Wall and his grandson: Matthew Kirby.

A graveside service will be held at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 2pm with Military Rites by the Campbell Patriots officiated by Rev. Steve Silvey.

Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery on Thursday, May 11, 2023.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
