Michael Adam Dowis November 21, 1967 - January 29, 2024

Michael Adam Dowis, 56, of Anderson SC, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024.

Born in Anderson SC, on November 21, 1967, he was the son of Sidney and Elizabeth Dowis and the husband to Glenda Rogers Dowis. Michael was a Maintenance Technician at AnMed Medical Center and a Tattoo Artist.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his son: Jonathan Michael Dowis; daughters: Amanda Dowis Bolt and Mikayla Walters Roper; brothers: Donald Dowis, Jason Dowis (April), Robbie Dowis (Jeff) and Brian Dowis; as well as many grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents: Robert and Rebecca Dowis, and his maternal grandmother: Grace Thrasher.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Freedom Baptist Ministries with Tony Tilly officiating.

Visitation will be held prior to the service at the Church on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 2pm to 3pm.

The family will be at the home of his mother, Elizabeth Dowis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

    My deepest sympathies and most heartfelt condolences go to Glenda and the members of Mike’s family. I was struck speechless when I read the notification but Heaven has certainly gained a true Warrior in Mike. I will miss him greatly.
