Paul Leon Holloway, of Anderson, South Carolina, passed away surrounded by his family November 26, 2023. Paul was born in Crisp County, Georgia on November 27, 1946 to the late Elmer and Ella B. Holloway. He was 76 years old.
He was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School, formally known as Boys High School. He retired from Michelin Corporation after 30 years of service. He served our country in the United States Army, was a Vietnam Veteran and a recipient of the Expert Rifleman medal.
Paul was an expert hunter of wildlife and master fisherman. He belonged to the fishing club at Michelin and fished the Red Man Tournament Trail, Tri-County BassMasters and Foothills BassMasters, participating in countless fishing tournaments and winning many prizes and trophies over the years.
Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Emily Holloway. He is survived by his daughter, Sheryl Holloway, his son, Chad Holloway (Ashley), his forty seven year companion, Linda Lanier, his sister, Elsie Gibson, a nephew, Duane Gibson, and his best four legged friend, Dooger. He is also survived by two bonus sons, David Lanier (Alice) and Tony Lanier, many bonus grand and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 14 at M J Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery at 3:00 PM. Family, friends, and guests are invited to attend a Celebration of Life immediately following the service at the Anderson Elks Lodge, 225 McGee Road. Flowers are welcomed or donations may be made to Cancer Association of Anderson.
