Rachel Annette Simmons October 16, 1953 - July 11, 2025

Rachel “Annette” Simmons, 71 of Anderson SC, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at her residence.

Born in Anderson SC, on October 16, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Edward Evans and Ruth Lord Knight. Annette loved her family, animals, flowers and Coca Colas. She will be lovingly missed.

She is survived by her daughter: Angel Simmons Allen (Craig Alston); brother: Barry Alan Evans; sister: Vicki Ann Davis; grandchild: RJ Allen (Sara); great grandchildren: Emery and Skylar Allen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a brother: Michael “Mike” Eugene Evans.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory at 3pm officiated by Pastor Mark Dickson.

The family will be at the home of her niece: Jennifer Lynn Durham.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
