Ranny Lamar Sheriff, 73, of Iva SC, formally of Belton SC, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.
Born on June 13, 1952, in Belton SC, he was the son of the late Ernest and Adell Jackson Sheriff. Ranny was an avid Clemson Fan, loved NASCAR, horses, his family and his family pet, Dude.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Teresa Glenza Sheriff; his children: Shelley Cooper (Tripp) and Jamie Glenza; brother: Robert “Lizard” Sheriff; sister: Martha Fields; grandchildren: Kayla Swink (Heath), Kaitlyn Cooper and Kelsey Grogan (Matt), as well as 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers: Albert Sheriff and David Sheriff; sisters: Dorothy Sheriff, Margaret Sheriff and Allean Sheriff.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 12pm at Sosebee Mortuary. Burial will follow at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors
A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Mortuary from 11am to 12pm.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
