Roger L. Slaton March 31, 1952 - March 12, 2024

Roger L. Slaton, 71, of Anderson, SC passed away on Tuesday March 12, 2024 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Forest City, NC.

Born in Anderson, SC on March 31, 1952, he was the son of the late Ralph Richey Slaton and Doris Amanda Lowe, and was a member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children: Millicent Slaton, Landon Slaton, and Russell Hanks; siblings: Linda Head, Herman Slaton (Lynn), and Richard Slaton (Vinda); and several grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter: Madonna Slaton Sorrell and brother: Mark Lowe.

The funeral will be held on Sunday March 17, 2024 at Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel at 2pm with Pastor Doug Ferguson officiating. Private burial will follow at South Lawn Memorial Gardens following the service.

Visitation will be held prior to the service at the Mortuary on Sunday from 1pm to 2pm prior to the service.

The family will be at their respective homes.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
