Sandra Clarice Hanna February 14, 1945 - January 24, 2026

Date of Funeral

February 2, 2026

Sandra Clarice Hanna, 80, of Townville, SC, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at her home.

Sandra was a Christian woman who would help anyone needed it. She taught Sunday School for many years. Sandra was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and The Retired Ladies Club of Owens Corning Fiberglass, where her sisters, May Coleman and Louise Loney, also retired.  Sandra and her sisters were also volunteers for Walk America.

Anywhere Sandra went, she would meet someone she knew, sometimes several people at one place. From a very young age, she would always, every day, call her mother and both her sisters. They would often talk for 20 to 30 minutes but often than not, for an hour or longer.

Sandra loved to travel with her sisters and her best friend, Mary Saylors. They loved to go to the mountains and the beach or just out to eat.

She loved her Grandchildren: Josh Hanna and Justin Hanna; Great-granddaughter: Harmony Hanna; her Son: Tommy Ray Hanna, who passed away in 2002; and especially her Daughter-in-Law: Lynn Hanna, who was more like a daughter to her and would help her in every way she could.

In closing, I would like you to read the Lord’s Prayer. The Lord is my Shepherd. I’m sure you know it.

I want to thank all the caregivers who helped my Mother; Debra, Tammy, Peggy, and especially Quen, who helped my Mother at least five days a week. Even toward the end, when I asked her to work Saturday and she did the last two Saturdays of my Mother’s life. My Mother and Quen had a special bond. They often told each other, “I love you” and both meant it. Thank you Quen.

Thank you so much, her son, Michael Lee Hanna.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Double Springs Baptist Church, 550 Double Springs Rd, Townville, SC.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Double Springs Baptist Church building fund in Sandra’s name.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
