Sara Nell Aycock February 28, 1942 - July 13, 2023

Sara Nell Aycock, 81, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday July 13, 2023.

Born on February 28, 1942, she was the daughter of the late William and Marie Whitfield and wife of the late Jerry Randall Aycock. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. Sara loved to garden, read her Bible, and always welcomed everyone into her home.

Sara is survived by her Son: Brian Aycock; Sister: Betty Rae Davis; Grandchildren: Timothy Bryan Vaughn, Hannah Leigh Aycock, Brina Renee Aycock, Haley Lynette Aycock, and Heidi Lauren Aycock; Daughter-in-Law: Hope V. Aycock; as well as six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her Children: Ronnie Dale Aycock and Ivey Lynn Aycock; Brothers: Robert Whitfield, Edward lee Whitfield, and J.C. Whitfield; and Sisters: Hazel W. Franks and Elizabeth Ann Starnes.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Wednesday July 19, 2023, at Concord Baptist Church, 1012 Concord Rd, Anderson, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2pm to 3pm at the church.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family.
