Steve Lane Burdette March 13, 1954 - May 9, 2024

Steve Lane Burdette, 70, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday May 9, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born in Anderson, SC on March 13, 1954, he was the son of Robert Lee and Gwendlyn Sue Burdette and was the husband to Sandra Elliott Burdette for over 49 years. Steve was self employed and owner of Anderson Gutter. He was an avid fisherman and turkey, and deer hunter. He was a loving husband, father, and papa. He was a Christian man and loved the Lord.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his son: Scott Burdette (Tammy); daughter: April Burdette Charron (Michael); sister: Darlene Perren of Austell, GA, and Janice Canada; grandchildren: Emily Burdette, Ansley Burdette, Jackson Charron, and Trevor Charron; and brother-in-law: Ken Elliott (Sheila Ann).

He is preceded in death by his brothers: Ronnie and Eddie Burdette; and sister: Marilyn Hardy.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Monday May 13, 2024, at Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel officiated by Pastor Larry Richardson and Pastor Sam Duncan. A private burial will take place.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1pm to 2pm on Monday at the mortuary.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
