Sula Dunn Baker Sanders, 95, of Anderson, SC, passed away on June 23, 2015 at Ellenburg Nursing Center.
Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Columbus and Ollie Dunn. She was widowed by two wonderful husbands, first by Leon Norwood Baker and second by Ansel Henry Sanders.
For years she worked as a beautician in the Anderson/Clemson/Pendleton area. She enjoyed going to flea markets and traveling when she was able. She lived at the Sterling House in Central, SC, for 11 years until moving to Ellenburg Nursing Center last November. Caregivers at both facilities loved her dearly for her pleasant, sweet smile, and personality. She is now enjoying a joyous reunion with Dan, Leon, Ansel, and all her other family numbers who were waiting for her at the Pearly Gates.
She is survived by a granddaughter Danielle ‘Dani’ Lee Baker and daughter-in-law Martha Mann Baker, of Central, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her late husbands and parents, she is also predeceased by a son Daniel ‘Dan’ Norwood Baker, 4 brothers, and 6 sisters.
Services will be held at 3:30 pm on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Sosebee Mortuary, Downtown Chapel, officiated by Lisa Taylor Hartman. Private burial will follow.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, Downtown Chapel, from 2:30pm – 3:30pm with Lisa Taylor Hartmann officiating.
The family is thankful that Patriot Hospice did a wonderful job of keeping her comfortable and supporting her needs.
