Verle P. Medlin, 90, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born on October 31, 1924 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Bessie Palmer.
She is survived by her daughter; Mary Elgin, Sister; Allene Taylor, Grandchildren; Belinda Rash and husband Stephen, Diane Jackson and husband Tim and Tammy Seagraves and husband Stephen, Great-grandchildren; Justin Rash and wife Lorena, Ashley Rash, Cody Black, Jarrett Hanks and wife Kaylei and Danielle Keown, and great-great-grandchildren; Jayce and Tallon Hanks.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law; Donnie Elgin; Brother Roy Palmer, Sisters; Curtis Clinkscales, Frances Haynie and Bettie Lee Shiflett and great-granddaughter; Julia Black.
Funeral Services will be held at 10am Thursday January 8, 2015 at the Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel and will be officiated by Rev. Archie Sharpe. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm Wednesday January 7, 2015 at the mortuary.
The family will be at the home of her daughter; Mary Elgin.
